The most demanding and time consuming operation is the flute grinding where we have a high stock removal - a cutting depth of 7-8 mm is not unusual. As the contact area is large it is difficult for the coolant to reach the grinding zone.
In order to minimize the risk of excessive heat generation, which may cause surface damages on the work piece and/or reduce the particle strength of the heat sensitive diamonds grits, it is often necessary to reduce the infeed or the feed rate.
NaxoFlute grinding wheels have shown excellent grinding performance in flute grinding with high stock removal capacity combined with a minimum of wheel wear. It is not necessary to reduce the infeed or the impact rate with NaxoFlute.
